Art at the Festival

The festival features special installation from celebrated sculptor, Sokari Douglas Camp CBE whose first artist residency took place at the Africa Centre in her early career. Her majestic “Corten head” sculpture will be unveiled outside the Africa Centre. Arch 29 on Union Yard, will have a décor inspired by British-Nigerian Yinka Ilori is creating a pop-up cinema with Fonko documentary exploring great musical revolution of today takes place in Africa. On the day, Sulger Buel-Lovell Gallery will welcome visitors to explore the work of emerging artists Georgina Maxim and Larry Amponsah featuring in their Summer Art Exhibition.
